What is true happiness?
In the book Brave New World they talk about being happy is better than knowing the truth. I completely disagree because if you are happy but only know what people want you to know, you are pretty much living a lie. There are no problems with emotions, life or any struggles in this book. Everyone is always happy because thats how they are basically programmed to be.
Big question
How far would you go to figure out the truth? In Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Jacobs grandfather tells him all these storeis from during world war 2. These stories have outragous charectors and crazy things nobody could believe. His father tells him the stories are just stretched out a little but nobody actually believes him. Jacob wants to but these stories make it a little hard on him to trust his grandfather. One day Jacobs grandpa called him at work and was freaking out saying that he was being attacked and told Jacob to go to the island where he will be safe. Jacob and a friend went to go check his grandpa and make sure he was okay. Everything looked very strange when they got to his grandfather’s house. Jacob found his grandfather dead with the house a complete wreck.

Sneetches Allegory!
The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss represents allegory. Allegory is a symbolical meaning such as from characters, objects, settings or events. The sneetches all want to look alike and keep getting stars put on and taken off over and over to look the same. The allegory behind this is about people trying to fit in. No matter what you look like weather you're black, white, tall, short, skinny, fat, boy, girl or of any kind, we are all the same. The sneetches use all their money to get a star on and then take it back off over and over. Until, they learn that the star doesn't make them different and they are all the same. McMonkey McBean was exploding theyre fear and prejudice and game. He was just like a carney person. Taking peoples money by ripping them off. But in the end he tought them a lesson.
Mr. Spence is like McMonkey McBean, and all the students are all like the Sneetches. But Mr. Spence wishes he could walk away with tons of cash after teaching us a lesson. He would not like rob us, and have some how that cash would magically appear.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner
In this poem, I heard or saw imagination, Idealism and Inspiration. Imagination is emphasized over reason, and he has reasoning behind everything he say. Idealism is the concept that we can make the world a better place. He is telling all these people at the wedding these stories.

Theme
Every book has a theme, what is a theme? It is the main idea of the book and what everything adds up to. In the book Th1rteen R3asons why is; many little things can add up to a big thing. This girl, Hannah that commits suicide, had many little things happen to her and as the book refers to it, everything all "snowballs". By this the narrator is referring to all these little reasons create one big problem. The solution to Hannah's problem was killing herself. Many of these people didn't do anything they thought would influence her on killing herself.. Things like being on the "hot or not list" being under the category or nicest butt, someone peeping through her winder, the guy she had a first kiss with and 10 more reasons. The all added up to the thirteen reasons why Hannah killed herself, which everyone will soon know about after listening to these tapes.
In this story the narrator was one of her friends, who is listening to all these tapes in the story; never thought any of this would ever happen. He didn't even know she was bothered by these things. Sure he knew she didn't like it but he didn't think it was that big of a deal to her. Many people in real life have a bunch of little things go wrong in a day which creates one to have a "bad day". But for Hannah, this wasn't just a bad day, this ended her life, and changed what a lot for her close friends and family. One decision like this can change a whole family. Sometimes when a child creates suicide, it changes a whole family, a whole school and many friends. Take nothing for granted, you don't know how big of a deal whatever you do can impact on a person’s life or attitude. A simple smile can make someone's day!

And the reading begins
I actually love this book! I took my book home and read it outside of school which is very unusual for me because normally I don't even read in class for SSR.
This book is about a girl who committed suicide, but before she did she created these tapes which tell all 13 reasons why she killed herself. This is narrated by one of her close friends who receives this box which is full of the tapes. Anyone who is part of the reasons on the tape receives the tapes and then they pass them to someone else who is included in the reasons why. He has no idea what he ever would have done that would want her to kill herself, but he wants to hear her voice and really wants to find out what her did. Right now they are on cassette 2, side B. On the previous tapes, someone created a "hot or not" list; which she found her self in the category of "nicest ass". After that all the guys started treating her different and would grab it. It drove her crazy! Another reason was the guy she had her first kiss with. This book is very good and hard to put down because you are coincidentally left in suspense of what all the thirteen reasons are and what Clay, the narrator, what he did to be included in the thirteen reasons why.

13 Reasons why
I am now reading for the first time! Yaaay!
I have taken the first step on becoming an actual reader, and with that I am reading the book "Thirteen reasons why".
The book is about a girl who killed herself, and is being narrated from a close friends perspective. She tells the reader why she killed herself, which are the thirteen reasons why. I actually like the book, which my friends would never believe if I told them.
